With Florian Filsingers electro-pop remix replacing the original version and René Patrique’s (Pearldiver Records) mix as the main dance mix in 120 BPM the single goes in the exact opposite direction of that of the previous energetic single Backstabber.

A good way from the road to ruin, to be exact, the 13th of december auto-auto decided to launch a remix contest, together with the good folks from Substream, Musikermagasinet and Creative Commons.

The tracks made available for remix where the tracks from the auto-auto Totem EP which where released the very same day. Initially the timespan for remixing was set to the 31st of april but due to various reasons it was prolonged to the 31st of may.

This allowed more artists to participate and those already participating to continue with their remixes.

To this day around 10 000 people have downloaded the Totem EP and far from expected we recieved about 50 remixes. It was a rough task to decide the winners of the contest but we how ever proud to present what we think are the most impressive remixes:

Tomorrow we'll do a gig here in Gothenburg again, togheter with The Neon Judgment and we're not quite as nervous. Our album has been quite well recieved all around the world and is pendning a release in the US by the label DSBP this summer.

We've also made a few gigs, written loads of music and released an EP during the last year.

Yet there is of course more to come, stay tuned for this summers upcoming Grillbritt-BBQ-party and gigs by auto-auto at a place near you!

The album will be released in a new edition with bonus material and new artwork in mid-2006 by the US electro/industrial label DSBP Records, which is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. DSBP has previously released such other Swedish artists as Run Level Zero and Severe Illusion.

Auto-Auto has been described as powerful electronic pop with significant elements of industrial rock and with an experimental touch. The band’s live performance is visual and the singer’s earlier connections to the punk genre come into play.

Auto-Auto is nominated in two categories to this year’s Scandinavian Alternative Music Awards, which is the Scandinavian Grammy awards for alternative music. The album track An Argument made it to #5 at German Electronic Web Charts earlier this year.

The album will be accompanied by the world wide digital release of the second single “Backstabber” from the album, which already as an album track made it to #3 at the charts of the big UK radio station Pulse Rated with two million listeners monthly. The first single Dog was voted “Best Synth Song of 2005” on Swedish national radio.

A US tour is currently being planned club or festival bookers are encouraged to get in touch at bookings@auto-auto.se

auto-auto stickups is stickers, made out in the fashion of ciggarette-package warning labels. For each sticker there's a small sticker availible for preview and a big highres-picture (the size of an A4-paper). Just print them onto a sticker-paper in your home printer and graft them to where ever you like. Enjoy!

On the weekend after that namely the 23'd of april auto-auto will engage in recording a video for the song "dog" from the upcoming album "sounds of a new generator". More info to come...

The internet community is currently in a test state, with plans to open publicly in May. The website will initially be available in English and Swedish, but the discussion area will be open for other languages as well.

First out on the Substream's record label is the Swedish duo auto-auto. The band is currently finishing their first album, which is to be released in the early summer of 2005. The album will be electronic pop with influences from a vast range of music genres, as well as some experimental elements.

More artist signings will be announced from the label during the spring of 2005.
